Trace and Frottage Monoprinting on Washi
Join professional printmaker, and ‘Disrupting the Matrix’ featured artist, Erik Waterkotte as we explore some of the basic principles of printmaking, indirect markmaking and texture, using oil-based inks, rollers, and glass. Participants will learn how to modify inks and apply controlled layers of ink with rollers to create a range of graphic marks and atmospheres on washi or Japanese paper.
All guests will leave with their own personal masterpiece(s)!
Majority of materials for the workshop will be provided; however, participants will need to bring a standard #2 pencil, an apron, and a set of stretchy garden gloves.
