“Developmental, sensory and construction toys influence the texture and form of my pots. I am curious about satisfying parts and puzzles, and the idea of assembling and rearranging to create a new form. Intriguing shapes, surfaces and colors guide my decisions leading to curiosity and interaction.

By including a toy-like playfulness to my work, I am experimenting with the durability and fragility of ceramics. My work will withstand time but will not withstand a toddler. It is meant to survive and create an engaging experience within the limitations of the medium.”
